Frankfurt's new festival
Frankfurt celebrates a composer: for a week or so in spring 2023, Frankfurt’s major cultural institutions are pooling their expertise in order to pay tribute to the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the form of a jam-packed programme. This event is named “Mainly Mozart” – this is not just an allusion to the big city by the River Main, but also deliberately leaves space for links and indirect connections with other composers, artforms and epochs. And where is the Alte Oper in all this? At the heart of the action, of course!
