The amateur orchestra of the Alte Oper Frankfurt
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts – the same holds true of music-making in an orchestra club. With this new project, the Alte Oper is appealing to anyone wishing to show off their skill on their instrument in the company of like-minded musicians and hold an orchestra concert with fellow amateur players in the Great Hall of the Alte Oper. Whether junior or senior, whether from Kiel or Freiburg – become part of a colourful community united by a love of music. You will be conducted by none other than the luminary classical expert Michael Sanderling, while the Latvian organist Iveta Apkalna will play as a soloist.
