Focus on Playsonic Festival
Listen while you play, play while you listen
Times, venues, composers, works, performers? Nothing that usually define concerts in the Alte Oper can be revealed in view of the Focus Festival that will take place towards the end of the 2017/18 season as a pilot project. Yet even so: The significant factor of the Playsonic Festival is that all the parameters of regular concerts go out the window during this festival. Instead, a completely different approach to music, to sound takes centre stage: In play, this means in testing, interacting and reacting, music should be experienced in new ways - allowing space for uncertainties and surprises.
