One evening, one work—two performances: The focus is on the surprising difference between the unfamiliar and the familiar, between listening with an open mind and paying close attention to specific passages. Young people are also warmly invited to join us for this enlightening comparison!

The concert series, which features four evening performances throughout the season, follows a simple yet effective principle: A chamber music work is performed, discussed and explained together with the musicians—and then interpreted once more. While the first listening is associated with fresh impressions, during the second listening the ear focuses on what was highlighted in the conversation between host Markus Fein and the performers: specific subtleties, compositional tricks, beautiful passages, and curious moments. The series is aimed at anyone with a passion for delving deeper into the music—this could include curious adults, but also music-focused classes or advanced and introductory music courses in high school.
