TALK

Petar Pejčić in conversation with Dr Markus Fein

Chamber music as a form of communication, or communication as a source of musical inspiration. Estonian-Serbian cellist Petar Pejčić is set to make his debut at the Alte Oper, performing alongside his colleagues, the Estonian couple Karolina and Hans Christian Aavik. Together, they will present an elegant and poetic programme in the Mozart Saal. The highlight will be Gabriel Fauré's late piano trio, whose Andantino movement is widely regarded as one of the most heartfelt pieces of French chamber music. Pejčić and the Aaviks actually met just outside Frankfurt, as they are both currently studying at the Kronberg Academy, where Pejčić has been hailed as 'one of the greatest cello talents of the last ten years'.
