In this lecture, we’ll explore the secrets of listening to music: how are sounds created, why do certain melodies move us, and why do catchy tunes stick in our heads so stubbornly? Together, we’ll explore how our ears and brains process music, why people almost automatically clap in time to the same rhythm, and why music plays such an important role all over the world. Through exciting experiments with sound and rhythm, we won’t just listen to music – we’ll make it tangible and visible.
