Ensemble Modern

Together with the Neuen Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and the SWR Experimentalstudio, the Ensemble Modern is presenting an exciting concert. Conducted by Michael Wendeberg, the programme includes the world premiere of an extensive commissioned work by Márton Illés, composed in collaboration with Stuttgart-based poet Felix Reinhuber. This is not the first time that the highly decorated Hungarian composer and pianist — winner of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation sponsorship award and the Schneider-Schott Music Prize, among others — has collaborated with the Ensemble Modern. Sasha Blondeau, one of France's foremost contemporary mixed, instrumental and electroacoustic music composers, has previously performed with the Frankfurt specialist ensemble. Blondeau's duo composition 'Muter' for two cellos will open this extraordinary evening.
