Dominik Wagner Kontrabassquartett

Dominik Wagner believes that anyone who considers the double bass to be nothing more than a sedate instrument is mistaken. “Most people don't even know what's possible with it. It has an incredible range of expressive possibilities.” One of his colleagues from the quartet adds, 'I think the double bass can best be described as "monumental". It simply has this depth on which everything is built. But the great thing is that you can also produce an incredible sound right up to the top.’ Who needs an entire orchestra when you can have four double basses? After this event in the 'Lunch Concerts' series, during which the Dominik Wagner Double Bass Quartet will take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with arrangements of hits from classical, romantic, pop and rock music, the answer will be clear: no one!
