One cold, dreary evening, a group of oddballs gather under a bridge. None of them knows exactly where they are headed. However, they soon realise that melancholy is not the only thing that binds them together. One has brought a trumpet, another an accordion, a third a clarinet and a fourth a double bass.
Through music, they discover each other's charming and witty sides, and hatch a plan. Together, they set off in search of UMBIDU, the place where everyone is said to be happy.
