Phil Collins is undoubtedly one of the greatest figures in rock and pop history. He first made his mark in the 1970s as the drummer for Genesis, where, alongside Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford, he helped define what would later take the world by storm as progressive rock or art rock. Then, in the 1980s, after Peter Gabriel had left the band, Genesis entered its most commercially successful phase with Phil Collins as frontman and lead singer, producing global hits such as ‘Mama’, ‘Follow You, Follow Me’, ‘Jesus He Knows Me’, ‘I Can’t Dance’, ‘No Son of Mine’, ‘Invisible Touch’ and ‘Land of Confusion’. And, of course, as a solo artist with no fewer well-known global hits such as ‘In The Air Tonight’, ‘Easy Lover’, ‘Against All Odds’, ‘Another Day in Paradise’ and so on and so forth…
