Two men who defy categorisation and thrilled sold-out audiences across Germany last season are extending their joint tour. Violinist, composer and singer Miki Kekenj invites you to his chamber music takeover! The ensemble will also be joined on stage by German rap pioneer and music producer Samy Deluxe. Together, these exceptional artists present a rousing programme that breaks down the boundaries between rap and classical music. Whereas beats and bass usually set the tone, here it is the violoncello and harpsichord that take centre stage, bringing two seemingly opposite poles together in perfect harmony.

The Ensemble translates modern songs into classical musical language, having already created refined and imaginative arrangements of the music of Joy Denalane, Max Herre and Stefanie Heinzmann. Hearing the songs of rapper Samy Deluxe from his two high-culture albums in classical Takeover arrangements is a real treat.
