Since then, the couple has fought for their love in countless adaptations. Now, it is time for a modern, contemporary, and youthful version of the classic. Peter Plate (Rosenstolz) and Ulf Leo Sommer have transformed the material into one of the most successful German-language musicals around at the moment. Based on Shakespeare's original text in the historic Schlegel translation, they have created an energetic stage show. The music is an interplay of new pop songs and emotional ballads, full of longing, tempo and power. Right in the middle of it all is the Rosenstolz hit that gives the show its title: ‘Liebe ist alles’ (Love is Everything). Following acclaimed performances in Berlin, the production will tour for the first time in 2026, with a stop in Frankfurt.
