Homage to Mozart
Rolando Villazón is not only one of the leading singers in the world of classical music, but also an enthusiastic interpreter of Mozart's works. On this evening at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, we are setting the stage for the tenor and the PRJCT Amsterdam ensemble and its musical director Maarten Engeltjes for a celebration of Viennese classical music with arias, scenes and instrumental works from the most famous operas by the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Of course, numbers from ‘The Magic Flute’, ‘Idomeneo’ and ‘La clemenza di Tito’ are not to be missed. The young musicians of the PRJCT Amsterdam ensemble dedicate themselves to interpreting these masterpieces with fresh passion. As one of the most sensational new ensembles, the early music ensemble founded by Maarten Engeltjes has been conquering the music scene since 2017 and can now be found on many of the major stages with its varied programme and exciting concert projects with renowned soloists.
