After the highly acclaimed and sold-out ‘Refuelled! Tour’ in 2023, Mike + The Mechanics return with the “Looking Back - Living The Years 2025 Tour”. Their promising programme features hits such as ‘Over My Shoulder’, ‘The Living Years’ and ‘All I Need Is A Miracle’ as well as some of Genesis' best-loved classics.
Mike Rutherford says: ‘It's exciting to announce that we'll be touring with the Mechanics again. Touring with the guys last year was a real pleasure. Even though it had been four years since the last tour, we quickly got back to the old habits, the old jokes and the camaraderie as if it had only been one day! We had so much fun on the last tour and the audience was so appreciative and warm. When we played the last show in Düsseldorf, we all agreed that we definitely wanted to do it again. We can't wait to see you guys.’
Mike + The Mechanics was founded in 1985 by Mike Rutherford ‘as a side project to Genesis’, with Paul Young and Paul Carrack as the original frontmen. Together they achieved huge commercial success in the 80s and 90s, reaching number one worldwide and selling over 10 million albums.
After the sudden death of Paul Young in 2000, the band released another album before deciding to take a break. In 2011, Mike started writing songs again and invited Roachford and Tim Howar to join him. Their chemistry was instant and they released the album ‘The Road’. Since then, the band has been touring with great success and continues to stay together.
