In autumn 2025, Prof. Dr. Karl-Rudolf Korte tried out his transition from the trading floor to the Alte Oper podium with his incisive lecture on the greatest social challenges of our time. The political scientist provided the audience with food for thought at the new 'Alte Oper Nights'. Now, the long-standing professor of political science, who is also a well-known television election analyst, is returning to the Alte Oper in a completely different format. In the series 'My Favourite Piece', Korte talks about the music that is closest to his heart. Also appearing with her favourite piece is Beate Heraeus, founder and chairwoman of the Beate Heraeus Foundation, which is committed to developing personalities, regardless of age, origin or life path, and fostering an understanding of nature.
