Dr Stephan Leithner, who holds a doctorate in finance, is one of the few people who knows more about money. He has been the CEO of Deutsche Börse AG since 2025, and while the markets are his professional domain, music also plays an important role in his life. Originally announced for last season's 'My Favourite Piece' series, the Austrian is now set to briefly swap the trading floor for the Mozart Saal podium at the Alte Oper. Our second guest is Rebecca Lyson, a lawyer who studied German-French law, and a member of CLUB 35 of the FREUNDE der Alten Oper. She translated the story Wir waren nur Kinder (We Were Only Children), published by Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt in 2024. She is also a jury member for the Helene Weigel Theatre Prize at the Berliner Ensemble and a co-founder of the Music Insights concert series in Frankfurt. Together with the members of CLUB 35, she will explore the Alte Oper's programme.
