Programme
Marc Grünbaum is well known in Frankfurt as a lawyer and as a member of the board and head of cultural affairs of the Jewish community. He is a sought-after speaker when it comes to aspects of Jewish life in Frankfurt and Germany. In his cultural programme for the Jewish community, this committed Frankfurt resident shows what living Jewish culture means to him. Our second guest has not been in Frankfurt for long: Dr Sebastian Baden has been the director of the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt since 2022. He is an art historian, curator and art teacher. His choice of music matches his work, which is characterised by exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists who deal with current social, ecological and economic issues. He is particularly interested in transdisciplinary projects. In this context, he has chosen the composer William Engelen. Jochen' is a piece for solo bass clarinet.
Marc Grünbaum and Sebastian Baden are guests in the December edition of the series 'My favourite piece' and show their private side by talking about music that is particularly close to their hearts. To allow the audience to share in this musical connection, the favourite piece chosen by each of them is played twice, before and after they talk about it.
