Max Raabe loves animals. In his song ‘Hummel’, he dreams himself into their world, wants to put biscuits in the kangaroo's pouch or cut down trees with beavers in certain places. However, his thoughts also revolve around the effects of autocorrect (‘Start again’), cycling, or - as we know - the perfect moment that is missed. In the concert programme ‘Hummel streicheln’, Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have great fun combining popular ‘Raabe-Pop’ hits with timeless original songs from the 1920s/30s such as ‘Heute Nacht oder nie’ or ‘Wenn die Elisabeth’. While Max Raabe leads through the programme in his quirky, humorous way, the audience can sit back and switch off.
