When the Alte Oper becomes an adventure playground for music, it's Children's Day! Once a season, the building belongs entirely to the youngest audience members: children aged zero to ten and their families take over the halls and foyers, not just to listen, but to join in too – singing, dancing, drumming and marvelling. Children's Day embodies everything that the PEGASUS music education programme stands for, offering age-appropriate, high-quality concerts alongside creative workshops such as instrument making, building tours and rhythm games, as well as many other hands-on activities. These programmes run in parallel and are repeated so that families can create their own personal schedule. Two time slots are offered, creating a lively morning and afternoon full of music, movement and shared discoveries.
