“A fusion of big band and house/techno music,” writes the Süddeutsche Zeitung. And rightly so: on stage, the Jazzrausch Big Band is a musical powerhouse, brimming with energy. The band was founded twelve years ago. Or should we say: only twelve years? In just a decade, it has established itself as one of the most successful big bands in the world.
It's therefore high time for the ensemble to return to the Alte Oper after their Fratopia Festival 2021 debut – this time for an all-star evening with renowned guests: Till Brönner, Nils Landgren and Jakob Manz – all former artists in residence at the Alte Oper – will perform together on stage for the first time. Special arrangements have been commissioned for the evening, and a programme has been developed that the band and three soloists will rehearse exclusively for the Frankfurt concert. This will be a truly unique concert event where legal but highly effective substances will contribute to the great jazz rush!
