The Frankfurt Radio Symphony once again presents festive and winter-themed music from many countries in its popular Christmas concert for the whole family: by turns magical and contemplative, and at other times virtuosic and breathtaking. Featuring a concerto for two oboes, Italian opera music without singing, a familiar television tune of typical Baroque splendour, dreamy Hollywood film music – and, of course, »The Nutcracker«. But the best is saved for last, when the 2,000-strong choir joins together at the Alte Oper to sing Christmas carols with symphonic accompaniment. Under the musical direction of Vilmantas Kaliunas, “Christmas all over the World” will once again be hosted by “hr3 Morning Show” presenter Tobi Kämmerer. (hr-Sinfonieorchester)
