Hans Sigl's literary mix includes both cheerful and contemplative stories by authors such as R.M. Rilke, H.C. Andersen, Oscar Wilde, Antoine de St. Exupery, Luise Kaschnitz and Kurt Tucholsky, as well as the famous 'Tinselstory'. With empathy (and the occasional pinch of irony), he guides us through the joys and sorrows and many a wondrous incident of the most beautiful time of the year. His relaxed stage presence makes this literary sleigh ride a special treat: Sigl has the fine art of transporting his audience into strange worlds with emotion and presence for an entire evening.
The evening is musically accompanied and atmospherically framed by trusted friends: Michael Armann, who has been playing the piano for Sigl's readings for decades, improvises congenially with bassist Malte Tömißen and percussionists Maria Schneider and Almuth Lustig on Christmas classics such as 'Jingle Bells' and 'Silent Night'.
