Music and art: Visit the ‘Armin Mueller-Stahl – Day and Night on Earth’ exhibition, followed by a concert and keynote speech.

This time, the exclusive outing for the Friends of the Alte Oper takes us to Rüsselsheim. From autumn 2026, the Opelvillen Cultural Foundation will dedicate an exhibition to the multi-talented Armin Mueller-Stahl. Around 100 of the trained concert violinist's works will be on display, reflecting the diversity of his artistic expression as a composer, visual artist, writer and actor. At the FREUNDE aperitif, these visual worlds will be expanded upon and commented on through soundscapes. The exhibition visit will be combined with a concert featuring chamber music pieces that are equally colourful, multi-layered and evocative. These will be performed by two scholarship holders from Live Music Now Frankfurt: the Duo Danza. The programme includes Shostakovich's Waltz No. 2, one of Armin Mueller-Stahl's favourite pieces.
