The FREUNDE Orchestra invites you to a concert celebrating a spirit of adventure, a pioneering spirit, and a thirst for discovery. Every two years, the FREUNDE take to the stage in the Großer Saal themselves. This time, they are joining forces with two choirs, as well as soprano Guanqun Yu and bass Thomas Faulkner, to take us on a musical journey to New York. To celebrate the 400^(th) anniversary of the discovery of America, Antonín Dvořák premiered his majestic Te Deum at Carnegie Hall in 1892. The following year, his Ninth Symphony, ‘From the New World’, was performed at the same venue. It became one of the composer's greatest artistic successes and continues to thrill audiences to this day.
