Concerto Copenhagen

Rejoice and be glad! Three new Brandenburg Concertos by Bach! But not discovered in a dusty attic in the Uckermark, but freshly conceived in Copenhagen (most certainly without the help of AI). The idea is simple: Bach himself orchestrated parts of his organ trio sonatas – albeit very sparingly – and incorporated them as symphonies in cantatas, distributing the three voices of his originals – right and left hand as well as pedal – across three instruments. If Bach himself did it, why not bring a little more volume, brilliance, virtuosity and colour to orchestral playing? 
Unfortunately, even with the best AI, this is still a long way from producing a large orchestral work in Denmark; that is why the two masterminds, Lars Ulrik Mortensen and his oboist Antoine Torunczyk, have very intelligently thought their way into Bach's three-part cosmos. All the virtuoso brilliance is distributed among two solo instruments, with the string orchestra providing harmonic accompaniment and contributing thematic material.  
The musical appetisers already released whet the appetite for more, and Concerto Copenhagen has already emphatically demonstrated its competence in Bach with its new recording of the four orchestral suites.
