Christopher Cross laid the foundation for his extraordinary career early on: in Texas, he first worked as a drum technician for Ginger Baker, bought guitar equipment from Jimmy Page and even filled in for Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple once. These encounters with music greats shaped his path and paved the way for his own international career.
Cross has been continuously releasing new music on his own label since 2007. Eight studio albums document his versatility, including the festive ‘A Christopher Cross Christmas’, the jazzy ‘Café Carlyle Sessions’ and, most recently, ‘Take Me As I Am’ (2018), which underlines his love of elegant songwriting and artful guitar playing. In 2020, he celebrated his 40th anniversary on stage with the opulent box set ‘The Complete Works’.
