The demand for Chris de Burgh's concerts remains high. That's why the singer/songwriter, who is highly praised by critics for his first-class guest appearances, is coming to Germany again this autumn after a summer tour.
The motto of his performances will be the same as in July/August: '50LO'. The title refers both to the fact that he is performing solo and celebrating his 50th stage anniversary, and to his latest album: "For '50', I chose my favourite songs from each of my previous studio albums," says the singer/guitarist/pianist, "and recorded three new songs to go with them. The stage pro also reveals a few things about the concerts: This tour is about me remembering my beginnings when I performed solo with guitar or piano accompaniment. I'll also be talking about the music during the guest appearances, the origins of the songs and their background. Chris de Burgh will also play some covers, as his idols include Elvis Presley, Toto, Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.
