The event will feature a mixture of chamber music, conversation and recitation. There will be serious artistic ambition and witty exchanges. There will be lectures and audience participation. In short, Annette Dasch's salon is a place for cultivated entertainment, both literally and figuratively. Twice per season, the celebrated soprano takes on the role of hostess, exploring a theme in a humorous and always surprising way with her trusted musical colleagues – her sister Katrin Dasch and brother-in-law Ulrich Naudé on the piano – as well as various guests. The May edition of the salon is profound yet light-hearted. 'Über'n Berg' (Over the Mountain) is the motto, as the DaschSalon aims to take a deep breath, both musically and lyrically, and perhaps climb one or two metaphorical peaks with the audience. It will be an afternoon of sporting and mental challenges, and of pride and relief at having overcome them.
