Podium Zukunft

The next generation is very welcome - as an audience in the hall, but also in action on the podium! In a new youth orchestra festival - the first ever in Frankfurt - we are giving the next generation of musicians a stage. We have invited local, national and international youth orchestras to our venue, including two outstanding youth orchestras from Brazil and South Africa, who will be performing at the Alte Oper for the first time. We want to know: What drives young people to make music together, what challenges them and where can we perhaps support them in their work? We look forward to a fresh spirit and new ideas, an infectious enthusiasm for music and a keen eye on the concert business. We are happy to learn from the young!

On all three days of the festival, in addition to the concerts, there will be an exciting supporting program also aimed at young people, including a virtual reality experience all about Beethoven and an instrument carousel with the opportunity to try out orchestral instruments for yourself.
