Jazz-Residenz Jakob Manz

There are not many jazz musicians whose playing is as unpretentious, clear, melodic and soulful as that of Jakob Manz. And there are even fewer who have caused such a stir in the jazz world at such a young age as this saxophonist. Accepted as a junior student at the Stuttgart College of Music at the age of 15, Manz received numerous awards as a teenager. At the age of 19, he released his debut album 'Natural Energy' on the jazz label ACT. The reactions of the media and the public were euphoric. This was followed by the Baden-Württemberg Jazz Prize, sold-out concerts - and now the jazz residency at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
