‘Behind the Scenes’ invites members of the many international communities living and working in Frankfurt to enjoy an evening of music, as well as meet interesting people and strike up conversations with one another, with a pre-talk, concert and chill-out session with live music. The concert's musical programme, conducted by Iván Fischer and featuring the Budapest Festival Orchestra, fits this concept particularly well: Beethoven's Ninth, with its famous call for brotherhood, is one of the pieces that best exemplifies the power of music to bring people together across borders and nations. The English-language pre-talk in the Albert Mangelsdorff Foyer will focus on international perspectives, personal experiences, and the unifying power of music. The panellists are yet to be announced. After the concert, the evening will draw to a close with a chill-out session featuring live jazz, providing an opportunity to socialise and meet others. Tickets are priced at €39 and include admission to the pre-talk, concert and chill-out session, as well as a pre-selected good seat at the Alte Oper.
