‘Behind the Scenes’ is a new all-in-one package from the Alte Oper, offering a pre-concert talk, a concert and a chill-out session with live music. It is aimed at the many people from international communities who live and work in Frankfurt. Combining an English-language pre-concert talk, the concert itself and a live jazz session afterwards, it offers the chance to meet interesting personalities, gain insights into their working lives and strike up conversations with one another. The audience can look forward to an evening full of special encounters when the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, conducted by Joana Mallwitz, performs at the Alte Oper, and when violinist Bomsori Kim makes her Alte Oper debut with Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. The pre-concert talk in the Albert Mangelsdorff Foyer will focus on international perspectives, personal experiences, and the unifying power of music. The panellists are yet to be announced. After the concert, the evening will draw to a close with a chill-out session featuring live jazz, providing an opportunity to chat and socialise. The 39-euro ticket includes admission to the pre-talk, the concert and the chill-out session, as well as a pre-selected good seat.
