OUR HYGIENE CONCEPT up to and including April 2, 2022: CONCERTS AT THE ALTE OPER FRANKFURT

Please note: The regulations mentioned here are valid up to and including April 2, 2022. As of April 3, there are no longer any access restrictions in the Alte Oper: The distance rules have been lifted, as has the obligation to wear medical mouth-nose protection.

WELCOME!

As one of Europe's biggest concert venues, the Alte Oper Frankfurt offers the perfect conditions for hosting concerts safely while strictly observing all the applicable rules and recommendations. The Alte Oper Frankfurt features an ultra-modern and efficient air-conditioning and ventilation system as well as plenty of space in the concert halls and foyers. Adherence to the safety and hygiene measures coordinated with the responsible local health authority is the prerequisite to visiting the Alte Oper. Therefore, we kindly ask you to closely observe and adhere to the following rules. The instructions of our staff on site must be followed at all times. In the event of non-compliance with the general hygiene rules in particular, as well the wearing a medical mask (FFP2- or surgical mask), we reserve the right to bar you from the premises in order to avoid endangering other visitors.

House admission (2G Plus rule) The house will be open for you one hour before the performance begins. Please also use the side entrances that may be open in addition to the main entrance so that admission can take place as quickly as possible despite the required 2G-Plus check. Whether the side entrances are open will be decided at short notice depending on the current situation; therefore, please also follow the instructions of our security staff. Please allow sufficient time for the admission control and, in addition to your ticket and a valid identification document (ID card or passport), have the documents required for your specific situation according to the chart "When is 2G-Plus fulfilled? (State of Hesse, please scroll down on this page)" ready (i.e. proof of vaccination or convalescence, proof of testing, if applicable).

Admission can only be granted if these documents are presented as a printout or in digital form (Corona Warning App, CovPass App) together with an identification document. Self-tests will not be accepted in accordance with official requirements.

Since the detailed admission regulations for events may be subject to change at short notice, we recommend that you take a look at the details at www.hessen.de (please scroll down on this page) before attending the concert.

For persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and can prove this with a medical certificate, no proof of vaccination or convalescence is required, but a daily antigen rapid test ("citizen test").

House admission for children and young peole

For events in the "Pegasus" series in the Albert Mangelsdorff Foyer, the 3G rule applies (also for adult participants).

However, for the other events in the Alte Oper Frankfurt, 2G-Plus applies. For children under six years of age and children up to school entry, no negative proof must be provided. For pupils under 18 years, the test booklet is also accepted as negative proof, even beyond a 24-hour period. For pupils from other federal states where no corresponding test booklet exists, a student/pupil card is sufficient, as testing concepts exist in all states.

Seating As of 4 March, cultural institutions are permitted to increase the available seating capacity for indoor events. Also, the so-called checkerboard pattern is no longer mandatory as of 4 March.

For all events organized by Alte Oper Frankfurts, the halls will be filled in a checkerboard pattern until March 25. This means that the seats next to, in front of and behind you will remain empty. For own events from March 26, seating will be without spacing.

Please note: Concerts by different promoters are taking place at the Alte Oper Frankfurt. Therefore, please enquire with the respective organiser as to which seating plan will be applied with regard to seating spacing from 4 March. For the final hall occupancy, we always follow the current official requirements, so that adjustments to the seating cannot be ruled out.

Visitors with symptoms of illness Please refrain from attending the event if you show any signs of illness. The AOF is entitled to exclude visitors with cold symptoms from the event.

High-risk countries Persons who have been in a risk area defined by the RKI prior to the respective event may only visit the Alte Oper in compliance with the currently valid laws and regulations. Further information can be found here.
