Performers on the stage, audience in the hall: this division of roles is typical of most classical concerts – including those at the Alte Oper. However, the Alte Oper always keeps looking for formats that break up the usual concert situation – for example, by making it possible to get close to artists and enjoy conversation with them, or by enabling concertgoers to make music themselves.
